Local Investing Networks (LINs)

LINs are networks that connect entities needing financing with local investors. LINs are based upon establishing relationships between investors and between investors and community entities needing financing. As such, they are particularly well matched with smaller communities where relationship networks can be more intimate.

Community Investment Funds (CIFs)

“Community Investment Funds (CIFs) are locally managed investment funds designed to keep capital rooted in the communities they serve… CIFs are structures meant to democratize access to capital by allowing any community member to invest in local opportunities…. CIFs can be created in communities of almost any size, making them a flexible tool for widespread economic and community prosperity.” (NC3)
